a while; you've made it a slight bit more likely.

I wonder if you couldn't use the maple screw to make a matching screw
box, and thus have a rig for slightly smaller blanks? Not really
sensible, of course, but either a fun thought experiment or a way to
not have to throw it away, your choice.
