Hello everybody,

Considering I have 'lurked' awhile, decided to introduce myself to this
decidedly friendly group
with a short bio.

A novice in the world of hand-tools for about 20 years, with a young
Family of two girls
and a VERY forgiving Wife who, thankfully don't ask questions about my
hobby! This all started
when I got hitched on 4th July [Independence Day for whom!!!!!!!] 20
years ago this year,
found things cost too much and started making them myself. Met a few
like minded souls who
proved to me that using hand-tools was very effective and therapeutic.

However, nasty things happen in life and, somehow the hand-tools got
supplemented with
those with the cable attached. Went through a period of near-mass
production with a variety of
timbers and ended up with some nasty nose and throat problem which
according to the
medics eventually, if you persist in creating the damn dust leads to
cancer. So, as you can imagine
the equivalent of a yard sale ensued and I re-introduced myself to the
pleasures of muscle power!

My day job entails what you might refer to as 'legalised robbery'
[selling insurance, if you must]
working for myself trying to convince customers to trust the Insurance
Industry. It'll never catch on, mind.

We live on the East Coast of the UK, in Lincolnshire and there are some
good open-air markets which
occasionally I get to have a look at. Trouble is I'm getting too fussy
with what I'm buying - this
is a result of treating myself with a small collection of those
fantastic LN pieces.

Well, that's all I have of interest - if you really want to know more
[surely not!] just ask.

Steve Forman.
