It's been suggested by my family that I have a small problem with old
tools. But just a small one. Although I'm working to make it much larger.
I'm always on the lookout for antique shops in Indiana that have
tools....and I'd like to hear of any that anyone is familiar with.

I acquired this problem while re-furbing an old Hoosier cabinet that has
been in the family since it was built. It has some warpage and stainage
from too many years in the chicken coop and then a wet basement. I tuned up
my dad's old Stanley #5 to clean up the sides and was blown away by power
of the thing. Obviously, I needed one of my own. And a #3. And a
transitional jointer. And a scraper. Somewhere I went beyond using the
tools into an obsession that my family doesn't understand....and that I
don't tell my friends about.

Background: Hoosier by birth. Lived in Michigan and Idaho. Now back in
Indiana. Work in radio. Degree from Michigan Tech in plant ecology. Still
not sure where that came from. SWMBO is a nurse....Two sons....not sure
what the heck they are. Little bitty workshop in the garage.....don't need
much room for hand tool work. Just a place to store the !#@$ things. But I
do need a place to stash the wood.....that pile of cherry in the family
room is getting in the way. As is the oak in the living room.
