277441 Tony Seo 2023‑06‑05 FS: Jingling June 2023 List 1
Well June is here, but you wouldn't know it from the crazy weather, what
with record highs for a couple of days, then down in the low 40's F for
mornings.  Sigh.  Flea market pickings have been sparse for the most
part, but once in a while I get a decent load.  There are a number of
fresh goodies on here so grab them quick.

PayPal is preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's easier for me to
ship items off of a paid PayPal invoice, especially First Class ones.

Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

Please put your name and address in the message. Saves time and email
traffic!

Vintage Dunlap 10 Inch Draw Knife Or Drawknife.  Measuring 17 1/4"
overall, the blade is 10" long, 1 3/16" wide across the edge, and this
weighs 1 lb 2 oz unboxed.  Dunlap was a brand name used by Sears and
this has the BV mark on the back which means that this was made by
Sargent for Sears.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The
back has some frosting and a few spots of light pitting, but nothing too
bad.  The top is good and was never struck.  The edge will need a quick
touch up.  The front also has some light patina.  The handles were
replaced at some point in time.  Those are both good and on tight.  This
ain't minty, but it will get the job done.  $34.00

Early Hand Forged Farriers Clinch Anvil Block.  Measuring 4 1/16"
overall in length, the face is 2 1/16" long, 1 9/16" wide at the end,
and this weighs 15 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker. This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is a little overall
light patina, but nothing too bad.  The face has some light dings on
both sides and the end and there is a wee bit of mushrooming on the end
as well.  The handle is good save for a little crusty on the inside that
refused to come off.  I gotta say, that it's been a long time since I
last had one of these early ones, and they are getting few and far
between.  $35.00

Blacksmith Hand Forged Hot Cold Cut Chisel.  Measuring 12 1/16" overall,
the head is 6 3/4" long, the edge is 1 3/16" high, and this weighs 2 lbs
6 3/4 oz total unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker. This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall light
patina on the head.  Somebody else dressed the edge and that is fairly
good.  They also dressed the striking end.  That has the start of more
mushrooming, but nothing too bad.  The handle has some stains, but it's
solid.  This ain't minty, but it will get the job done.  $19.00

Vintage Wood Handle Saw Setting Wrest.  Measuring 9 5/16" overall, the
head is 4 9/16" long, 1 1/16"  wide, and this weighs 5 1/2 oz unboxed.
Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and was
cleaned.  The head has some overall light pitting and a few spots of
deeper stuff.  All the notches are good save for one near the handle
that has some wear.  The brass ferrule is cracked.  The handle looks to
be beech.  That has dings, stains, user initials, and other assorted
bits of patina, but it's solid and the head is in tight.  This ain't
minty, but it's a solid tool that will get the job done.  $25.00

Vintage Small Saw Setting Wrest.  Measuring 5 5/8" long and this weighs
2 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some frosting and light pitting on
the head and some deeper pitting on the handle.  A few of the notches
have a little wear, but nothing that will prevent this guy from being
used.  This ain't minty, but it will get the job done.  $18.00

Hand Forged Walnut Handle Farriers Buttress.  Measuring 16 5/8" long
(straight across), 2 1/8" wide across the edge, and this weighs 1 lb 6
oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition
and was cleaned.  There is some overall patina, but it ain't like most
farrier work is done under climate controlled circumstances.  The head
has some light pitting, but the edge is fairly good.  The handle has
some dings and a check under the iron ferrule, but it's solid.  This
ain't minty, but it sure ain't bad for the kind of life that it has
lead.  $30.00

TWO Blacksmith Hand Forged Upset Tools.  The one on the left is 4 1/2"
long, the face is 2 1/8" wide, 7/16" thick, and is flat, the one on the
right is 6 3/16" long, the face is angled, and is 2 5/16" wide, 1/2"
thick at the center, 1/4" at the ends, and they weigh 2 lbs 15 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  These are in decent condition and
were cleaned.  There is some overall light pitting and patina.  The
faces also have some pitting and the one on the left has a small chip
off of the one corner, but overall nothing too bad.  I did dress down a
much of sharp mushrooming on both striking ends.  That ain't a perfect
job, but trust me, they are better than they were.  These ain't
pristine, but they are solid tools that will get the job done.  $28.00

Long Hand Forged Slater Slate Spitting Chisel.  Measuring 16 1/4" long,
2 9/16" wide straight across the edge, and this weighs 11 1/2 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and
was cleaned.  There is some overall light patina.  The edge is uneven
and has a few light dings.  That will need a touch up.  The body is
fairly straight.  The striking button is good, you can see where the
steel was rolled to form it, but it's not cracked.  This ain't perfect,
but these longer ones are sure getting few and very far between of
late.  $28.00

P S & W No 1 EX 3 Inch Barnbuilders Slick Chisel.  Measuring 15 7/8"
from the edge to the end of the socket, the blade is 10" long, the steel
bit is 6 5/8" deep at the center, and this weighs 3 lbs 10 1/4 oz
unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned by somebody else
(I'm thinking sand blaster, sigh).  The steel bit has some overall light
pitting along with some deeper spots.  The iron body also has some
pitting and there is a user mark on the one side.  The edge will need
some work.  The socket, well there is more pitting, but that was never
hit.  This ain't perfect by any stretch, but these guys sure are getting
few and far between of late.  $75.00

Early C Hammond Philadelphia Cobblers Hammer Head.  Measuring 4" long,
the face is 1 5/8" in diameter, the peen is 1 3/4" wide, and this weighs
14 1/4 oz unboxed.  I am saying this is early because of the style of
the body with the narrow sides, and the fact that letters in the mark
were stuck one at a time, along with that touchmark.  There is a good
possibility that this was made by old Charlie himself.  This is in
decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall light patina on
the head.  You can see the graining of the wrought iron on both sides.
The face has some light dings and wear.  I did take down some sharp
mushrooming on the underside of the peen and a few spots on the top.
The peen is a bit uneven.  The square punched eye is good to go.  This
ain't pristine, but considering the age of the tool it sure ain't bad
and it sure ain't your everyday C Hammond cobbler's hammer, that's for
sure. $25.00

Big Signed No 4 Cobblers Lasting Pliers.  Measuring  9 1/2" long, the
jaws are 9/16" wide at the tips, and this weighs 1 lb 1 1/4 oz unboxed.
The mark is pretty faint, this might be an Ault (Hanover PA maker
1800-1840's), but I can't say for sure.  This is in decent condition and
was cleaned.  There are some spots of light pitting and patina overall.
The jaws and teeth are good and close down tight.  The "through the
center" style joint is also good with no play.  The hammer face has some
dings and light wear,  The handles have a little roughness on the ends,
but this guy never had a tack claw.  This ain't minty, but it's a solid
tool that will get the job done.  $28.00

Adjustable Circle Or Gasket Cutter For A Brace.  This weighs 9 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, other than that 39 which is
stamped on the tang and both of the blade bars.  This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  There ain't much in the way of patina
to fuss about.  The center point is good.  Both of the blades are good
and will need just a wee bit of touch-up.  The screws work and the tang
is good save for some frosting.  This ain't perfect, but these guys are
sure getting few and far between of late.  $28.00

Early Hand Forged 10 Inch Outside Caliper.  Measuring 10" long and this
weighs 1 lb 1 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  I'm thinking
that this is early 19th Century as to the age of the tool. This is in
decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall light pitting
and patina.  The 3 finger (2+1) joint is a bit stiff in spots, but it
holds position out to 7" across the tips.  Those are good, but only
close down to 1/8".  This ain't minty, but it is an older tool that will
get the job done.  $30.00

Brades No 272 12 oz Warrington Cross Peen Jointers Hammer. Measuring 11
11/16" overall, the head is 4 5/8" long, the face is 15/16" in diameter,
the peen is 7/8" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 1/4 oz total unboxed.
Brades is a long time English toolmaker, however they haven't exported
many tools to the US, so the name isn't well known over here.  This is
in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The head has some light
dings and a little frosting, but overall nothing too bad.  The face has
some light dings and the peen also has some light roughness.  The handle
looks to be original to the tool.  That does have some chipping and
roughness under the eye, along with some stains, and a few tiny bits of
paint down in the grain, but it feels solid enough to use.  The head
wiggles a touch, but does not come off.  This ain't pristine, but it is
a quality tool that will get the job done.  $28.00

long and this weighs 5 1/4 oz unboxed.  Bemis & Call were Springfield,
MA tool makers who were in business from 1844 until 1930.  This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There is a little frosting, but nothing too
bad patina wise.  The jaw and anvil face are good and the spring still
has plenty of spring left to it.  The "through the center" style joint
has a little pay and the screw travels the full distance.  This ain't
pristine, but these guys sure do not show up much at all of late.  $18,00

6 1/4" long and this weighs 9 1/2 oz unboxed.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  The head has some staining and frosting, but
nothing too bad.  I did touch up the edge a little, but that could stand
some work.  The finish on the body and handle is worn.  The striking end
is good.  This ain't minty, but it's 1/2 the price of what a new one
will set you back.  Just saying.  $45.00

Early Hand Forged Tinsmith Round Groove Tin Seamer.  Measuring 5 3/4"
long, the head is 1 1/8" wide, the groove is 5/32" across, and this
weighs 11 oz unboxed.  There are 2 different stamped marks on the
handle, they might be user or maker marks.  There also is a lightly pin
punched initial on the one side of the head.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There ain't much in the way of patina to
fuss about.  The head is good overall, the one edge was dressed at some
point.  The striking end has a little mushrooming and I did run a file
over some sharper spots.  This is another one of those tools that are
getting few and far between anymore.  $25.00

tools for the mining and railroad industries.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall light patina.  The tip
was dressed at some point (this is marked 5/8) and is fairly good.  The
striking end has some dings, chips around the edge, and a bit of
mushrooming, but nothing too bad.  The eye is good to go.  This ain't

condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall pitting. The face has
some light pitting, but no serious problems.  The peen is fairly good
save for some wear on the corners.  The handle is a recent replacement.

Stanley No 101 Model Makers Block Plane.  This weighs 4 1/4 oz unboxed.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  The sides have most of the
japanning, but there are some paint marks that refused to come off.  The
sole has a few small light spots of pitting and a dot in front of the
mouth that looks like a casting flaw.  The japanning on the body is
fairly good save for a few dots of paint.  The cap has a little funky on
the finish.  The blade is clean on the front and there is plenty to work
with.  The blade will need a sharpening.  This ain't pristine, but it

Darling Brown & Sharpe Ames Patent Center Finding Square. Measuring 8"
long (overall), the rule is 6", and this weighs 6 1/4 oz unboxed.
Nathan Ames of Boston, MA was granted Pat. No. 9,089 on July 6, 1852 for
the design of this tool.  This one just is marked D. B. & S. who were in
business under this name from 1866 until 1892.  This is in very good
condition and was lightly cleaned.  The head has some light scratches
and one small casting flaw.  The rule is clean save for a very light
frosted spot and a user name on the back.  All the edges and corners are
crispy good.  I did not mess with screws.  These guys sure don't show up

the head is 6 1/8" long across the top, the faces are 3 3/8" high
(across the centers), 2 3/8" wide, and this weighs 2 lbs 9 1/4 oz
unboxed.  This is only marked with a 12 on the top of the head which is
the only markings that Stanley put on these guys. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There are a couple of tiny bits of paint
that didn't want to come off of the head and a few bits of the wax that
I use as well.  Both faces have some chipping, but the insides are
fairly good save for some light dings.  The oak handle is original to
the tool.  That has some dings and stains, but it's solid.  This ain't
pristine, but these guys sure are getting few and far between of late.

Unusual Early Hand Forged Pick Punch Head.  Measuring 7" long, the face
is roughly 1/2" square, and this weighs 9 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as
to the maker.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned. Kinda looks
like a dug piece to my eye.  There is some overall pitting.  The face
has a little mushrooming and the spike end is good.  I'm thinking that
this was used on a strap head tool, since there is no eye, but that's
just a guess.  This is what it is, but it is a neat and very old tool to
say the least.  $17.00

Stanley No 49 1904 Patent Auger Bit Depth Gage.  This weighs 4 1/2 oz
unboxed.  Arthur D. Campbell of Wilkes-Barre, PA was granted Pat. No.
772,211 on Oct. 11, 1904 for the design of this tool.  This is in
reasonably good condition for being 100 plus years old, and was
cleaned.  There is a little rust staining on the body, but this almost
all of the plating, except for the pads which have some wear and light
patina.  The screws and nuts are good.  This ain't minty, but there
ain't too many of this vintage that are, and it sure ain't bad.  $25.00

L S Starrett No 26 Firm Joint 18 Inch Outside Caliper.  Measuring 18
1/2" long and this weighs 1 lb 8 3/4 oz unboxed.  This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is some frosting, light scuffs, a few
spots of light pitting, and a user name on the back.  The joint is good
and holds position.  The tips are also good.  This ain't pristine, but
if that's what you want, they only sell for 3 times what I'm asking for
this one.  Just saying.  $40.00

Vintage Hand Forged Farriers Clinch Anvil Block.  Measuring 4 1/8"
overall in length, 2 1/8" high, the face is 2 3/8" long, 1 7/8" wide,
and this weighs 1 lb 1 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is
in fair condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall pitting, I
guess this guy spent a lot of time out in the barn.  Other than that,
this guy is solid.  Yeah, you can buy a new one, but this guy does have
some age to it.  $25.00

Hand Forged Stone Mason Dressing Hammer Head.  Measuring 6 9/16" long,
the faces are 1 3/8" wide, 5/16" and 3/8" high, and this weighs 1 lb 11
1/2 oz unboxed.  There is a faint maker's mark on the side, but nothing
I can read.  This has a wrought iron body with steel faces.  This is in
decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall pitting and
patina.  Both faces are good with no chips.  The punched eye is also
good save for a little crusty and a few tiny dings on the top.  This
ain't minty, but drop it on a handle and it will get the job done.  $19.00

Wooden D-Router Plane To Restore Or Collect.  Measuring 10 1/8" long, 4
7/16" wide, 1 5/8" high, and this weighs 13 1/2 oz unboxed. Not signed
as to the maker.  This is in fair condition and was cleaned.  The body
looks to oak.  That has some wear and the front is chipped on the small
knobs.  There are also some stains.  The sole area is fairly good.  The
clamp is good and the nut, while pitting, does work.  This will need a
blade, I didn't get one with it.  This is what it is, but it ain't like
these guys show up every day either.  $25.00

P S & W No 793 Tinsmith Tin Sheet Metal Benders Bending Pliers.
Measuring 7 1/8" long, the jaws are 3 7/16" wide, and this weighs 12 3/4
oz unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some
overall light patina.  The jaws have some tiny dings on the edges and
the one is warped outwards a little at the ends.  They do close up
fairly flush.  The depth adjustment screws are MIA, but a lot of folks
didn't use them, and it is a standard thread.  The joint is good with
just a little play.  This ain't minty, but it will get the job done.  $24.00

is 3/16" in diameter, the dimple is 9/32", and this weighs 7 3/4 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  There is a user mark on both
sides.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There are
a few spots of light patina, but nothing too bad.  The face, post hole,
and dimple are all good.  The striking end has a little mushrooming, but
it's good with no cracks that I can see.  I gotta say, that these guys
are sure are have been few and far between of late.  $18.00

oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good
condition and was cleaned.  There is a little overall light patina.  The
tips are good.  The through the center joint does have a little play.
This one ain't as fancy as some of these guys, but they sure don't show
up very often either.  $50.00

Brown & Sharpe No 800 3 Inch Toolmaker Divider.  Measuring 3 11/16" long
(from the tips to the top of the spring) and this weighs 3/4 oz
unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
ain't much in the way of patina the fuss about.  The spring and tips are
good.  The nut travels the full distance smoothly.  This ain't perfect,
but it is a top quality tool that will get the job done.  $27.00
