Kirk,

Thanks for the kind offer. I assume this, like other ‘Best of FW’ books, is a
collection of relevant articles from old issues. If so, I’m good since I have
one of their thumb drives containing every issue through the end of 2021.

Or is yours something different?

Dennis

I have a copy of Veneering Marquetry & Inlay (Best of Fine Woodworking. Not
sure how good it is, but you are welcome to borrow it. I grabbed it as a
reference book for future projects. Maybe someone else knows how good it is.

Sorry for the font, pasting on an iPad.

Kirk in Half Moon Bay, should crawl out of bed soon.

Friends,

I have a project bubbling to the top of my to do list that will require some
marquetry. I have no experience with it and am looking for some reference
books. I have LAP's Roubo on Marquetry but would like another option or
two. Wondering if anyone out there has read 'Marquetry Course' (Metcalfe) or
'Fine Art of Marquetry' (Stevens) and can provide some input as to their
respective value. I know there is an out of print marquetry book written by
a French gentleman but copies are often well north of $100.
