Ob. Bio.
A neophyte woodworker from Arlington, Virginia. Primarily interested in handtool
techniques and occasionally buying. After using an old plane from MofA, I found
that old hand tools were much better than new hand tools, so here I am.
I am 45. Spent some time in the US Coast Guard, kicked around the ice fields of
the Arctic and the Antarctic, then went back to school to learn a trade. I am cu
rrently employed as a confuser scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory, where
I think deep thoughts on WHAT CAN WE DO BAD TO THIS COMPUTER?
I have two kids in parochial school, a third one who appears to be going to grow
up to be forklift, and a single income, so I buy wood and tools at a slow rate,
but lurk furiously. My bride tries to understand, but keeps suggesting that I b
uy power tools like Norm's, because my hand tool output is too slow.
