135579 Quintin Holmberg <quintin@m...> 2004‑08‑03 Hello: Part II
So ... I try to never give away too much at once so yesterdays greeting
was kinda short and too the point ... I thought I'd join ya'all on the
port and ramble a little. (I think that's the first time I've ever used
the term 'ya'all' in my life).

First off, someone replied yesterday inquiring where on this floating
rock it is that I call home ... yeah, fair enough ... I live in a little
town in SW MN called New Ulm. It's a quaint little town ... I did not
grow up here but, I believe I will be calling it home for quite some time.

Now I'm kinda the compulsive / addictive kind of person and when I find
something new that interests me, I kinda let it consume me for a while.
For the last week this has been woodworking and the classic tools that
go with it. The problem with it consuming me is that it is really the
only thing turning in the back of my mind including while I sleep ... so
... i now find myself waking in the middle of the night thinking about
tools ... tools i honestly don't know diddly about!!!!

Now, that would not seem so bad but ...

I also have a 1 year old son who just loves this kids program called The
Wiggles. Now this program is one of those programs that has tons of
those catchy little tunes ... you know the ones ... the ones you find
yourself singing under your breath while you slyly try to surf the net
when spending your time in cube hell during the working hours ... yeah,
those kind. Well, these are also the ones I find suck in my head when I
wake in the morning.

So ... the last couple nights have been all about waking in the middle
of the night, thinking about tools I am clueless about to the tune of ...
D-O-R-O-T-H-Y (thats spelled letter by letter, by the way)
Dorothy the dinosaur
D-O-R-O-T-H-Y (yeah ... spelled out)
She's my favorite dinosaur ...

Somethings gotta give ...

Oh well ... that's enough rambling ... off to finish that blood and gore
article Johnny recommended I read ... that ought to produce some nice
dreams!!
